Snow Family

What a great day for making snowmen! We received a bunch of wet sticky snow here in Chicagoland. The snowmen were so easy to make that we made a family of 5!

Everyone say "Snowman!"

Merry Christmas

We had a great Christmas! Little Jadon really enjoyed his first Christmas. Dexter received a Polar Express train from Santa so he is very happy. Max has been very busy putting together all the Legos he got. Ryan has been staying up late playing guitar hero. Heidi is thankful for all these boys in her life. We rejoice for all that God has blessed us with this year!

ThanksChristmas

We have become very busy with the Christmas season upon us. We had a great and very relaxing Thanksgiving. We went over to my mom and dad's house along with my sister's family and a friend from church. It was my birthday that day as well, so I didn't have to do anything except make a pie.

Dexter made this turkey hat in preschool. He couldn't wait to wear it while he ate his turkey.

Our tree went up the day after Thanksgiving. The boys had so much fun. They put as many ornaments as they could on one branch on the bottem of the tree, so cute. Of course this is Jadon's first Christmas as far as we know and he is just loving all the lights and decorations.

This past weekend we celebrated Christmas with some of Ryan's family. They came here and we had a few big meals, presents, and went to see the nutcracker.

Max's B'day and Halloween

Max turned 7 last week. Hard to believe. He and his cousin Kate had their whole class come to a bowling party. It was very noisy but the kids had a great time.

Do you see Darth Vader and Zorro at our doorstep? Who is the other masked man? I think it is Chinese Zorro. Yes, Jadon wore his traditional Mongolian costume for Halloween. But he wanted to add a twist by putting on a zorro mask just like his older brother. It didn't stay on for too long.

Thailand

Well it is official that we will be heading to Thailand. We are going Jan. 17th - 24th. All 5 of us are going. It may sound insane to bring 3 little boys all the way to Thailand but we will have some help. Our dear friend Maggie is coming with!
So we will be there for a week for what MTW calls a "vision trip." We will stay with the team we are hoping to join. While with them they will give us a vision of what God's ministry involves in Bangkok Thailand. We will be able to join them in their various activities of evangelism and mercy. I have included their team website under fav. links if you are interested in more information.

Race for Education

Last Thursday was the Race for Education at Westminster Christian School. All the kids collected pledges and ran to earn money for their school. It was a lot of fun to watch and even join in a bit as some of us parents walked the laps with the kids. Max actually ran this year and completed 15 laps. Usually he is "too cool" to run and prefers walking. Dexter ran with his preschool class in the gym. Even Jadon joined in and never stopped running. We had very good naps that day.

Happy Birthday Zorro

Dexter turned 4 last week and had his "zorro" birthday party. We celebrated by going to 2Toots train restaurant in Downers Grove. A little train goes around the restaurant delivering the meals. It also came out with cupcakes for Dexter and a birthday song was playing. The boys all had so much fun. He had a family party on Sunday Eve. One of his presents was a zorro costume. He has had a lot of fun being zorro for the past week.

I am finally taking the time to start a blog. Life has been very busy with our new son plus his two older brothers. There is so much going on in the life of our family right now that I think will make for an interesting blog. This way our friends and family can keep up with what is going on.
Right now we are waiting to see if we will be invited onto a missions team located in Thailand. We hope to visit Thailand this coming winter/spring. In the mean time Ryan and I are starting to volunteer with World Relief. We will be picking up a Burmese refugee family on the 26th. Our church has been wonderful in supplying all the household needs this family will have upon their arrival. World Relief is an awesome organization. I've included their link in my favorites for anyone interested.
The three boys are doing well. We had a fun evening going shopping for a new dress for mommy! I am half joking when I say fun because I think we spent half the time taking each boy to the bathroom. Plus one of them wet their pants. But I did get my new dress and a pair of shoes to go with it.
