Florida

A couple of weeks ago we went to Florida. We had a wonderful time there. The boys really enjoyed the beach. It was so nice to be in the warm weather and enjoy the outdoors

Shane's wedding

Our kids had a great time, last night, at my cousin's wedding. They had so much fun playing with their cousins and dancing. It was really fun to watch them.

New Post

Several people have commented about how I have not updated my blog. So I thought I better do it. The only problem is I have nothing to write about. It is February, it is cold, there is nothing to do. So, I will add a cute picture of Jadon in one of his funny costumes. Hopefully I will have something more interesting to write about soon.

Snow Day?

I am really hoping we get a lot of snow tonight and have a snow day tomorrow! I am tired of getting up before dawn, getting the kids ready in a dark house, and then driving to school in the bitter cold. I know I was just in warm Bangkok so I shouldn't complain. But it would be soooooo nice to stay in bed tomorrow. Come on snow!!!

Safely Home

We are home now. The flight home went well. Max started off the trip throwing up two times in the plane. We were afraid it was going to be a long day for him but he stopped and had no more problems. During the leg from Tokyo to Chicago the kids slept the entire way. Everyone but Daddy slept pretty well last night. In fact, Ryan woke me up at 10:30 a.m. and I had to wake up the boys. We all feel quite groggy today but hopefully we'll be back to normal soon.

Last Day Here

It is hard to believe it is our last day here. I haven't been able to use my laptop so I still cannot add any pictures. I will do that when I get home.
Yesterday we visited the Christian school which was amazing. The facility was beautiful and it seemed like a really great community.
Last night we ate dinner with one of the team families. This morning the men are golfing much to Ryan's delight. I will be going to a brunch that is held weekly to outreach among the women in the neighborhood.
We are so impressed by the team here and the work they do. There is a great need here for the truth of Christ. All around you can see the beauty of this culture but it is a culture that glorifies a false god.
Please pray as we return home. We feel like we just got off the plane!

Sorry I have not had much time to write. We have been very busy and when we do have a minute we are so exhausted!
Yesterday we went to Thai church and to the market for lunch. Maggie and I participated with the Sunday school.
Today we went touring in Bangkok. We saw the reclining Buddha and the Temple of Dawn. We rode on a train, taxi, and river boat. I hope I can upload some of the pictures later.
The boys are doing well. Jadon has been up in the middle of the night, every night, and not able to go back to sleep for a couple of hours. He keeps the rest of us awake as we are all sharing a room.
Tonight we eat at the Veldhorst's. Tomorrow we will be visiting the christian school among other things.
I am too tired to proof this.

We Made It

Well, we all made it here safe and sound. The kids did awesome on the plane. They didn't sleep too much but no crying. They enjoyed the movies and Dexter really liked all the food. We got here at 2:30 a.m. and slept about 5 hours. Now it is the afternoon and we are very sleepy. We were able to join in at the kids club this morning. We are visiting at Dave Veldhorst's house right now and using his email!

Leaving Tomorrow

Well, the bags are all waiting at the front door, I hope they aren't over weight. The kids are all in bed, I hope they are finally asleep. We are ready to go tomorrow. Poor Mrs. Schwartz doesn't know what awaits her. I hope she sleeps well tonight. May God bless our trip and make clear our paths. Thanks to all who keep us in your prayers. I hope I can access this blog while we're gone. Goodnight.
